My children's grandfather died this year. I walked into his room to visit him. His niece walked up to me and said, "he just passed." I stood at the bed arm and arm with his sister. Tears filled our eyes. I told her that I just wanted to say "hello." It had been a while since I had done that. Instead I had to say"good-bye." Life is so uncertain. Everything can change so quickly. 2017... year of many first and last. Good-bye's and hellos. A year of endings and new beginnings. A year of restoration. Special time with family and friends; old ones and new ones. Father God, you've stretched us. You've shown us new paths. You've blessed us ☙
